Advanced Photoshop featuring Phokki (together with CrowdSPRING and Inkd)

Everyone loves Advanced Photoshop Magazine, don’t we?

Phokki is featured in the latest issue of Advanced Photoshop Magazine. One of our artist fellows also had a chance to give a detailed interview. The article covers how artists can win commissions from online. In addition, other two renowned sites – CrowdSPRING (Crowdsourcing art/design projects) and Inkd (Marketplace for art/design templates) are mentioned.

Despite all the hype, there is an interesting concern raised in the article. It is about copy cat designers who imitate other artist’s works, and at the same time drives the price down in order to win commissions. What is your view on this?

Phokki Updates

Phokki Art Challenge Update

The list of the finalists has been dispatched to the panel of judges. However, the judging team requests for more time. It seems that we have some really interesting entries here. Tentatively, the winner announcement will be scheduled on Thursday June 4, next week.

New features at Phokki.com

We have recently added new featues– most of which are designed to facilitate buyers to discover and purchase your art services more easily. Some are worth checking out, see below:

Voucher System
- This allows you to create a secret code that gives discount to your art services. Is your friend’s birthday coming up? Why not give him a gift voucher of your own? Check it out under the “Marketing” tab, after logging in.
Style Badge
- Apart from embeddable artist badge that links to your artist page, we have created a style badge allowing you to promote individual art styles on the internet. Now, you can see the number of click-through too. Check it out at the “Marketing” tab at the artist dashboard.
New Artwork Gallery
- Search. Users can now search your arts with keywords.
- Filter by Price. Users can browse your arts by specifying a range of prices.

An Interview with DeviantArt’s Founder/CEO - Angelo Sotira

We had a chance to exclusively interview Angelo, as he shared some insights on DeviantArt’s creation. He also shares his views on how to build a successful community, as well as, on entrepreneurship.
